Here is a good example of how the "Missing News" to deceive & mislead readers.

Here is the E-mail sent to Mississauga News explaining how bad their reporting is.

Mississauga News - Nov. 5, 2013 - By Louie Rosella

Barber trial to continue next year

Don Barber -  File photo

MISSISSAUGA — Former mayoral candidate Donald Barber will be back in court in the new year to continue his trial over allegations he assaulted a City of Mississauga bylaw officer with his camera.

Barber, 57, who was last in Brampton court Oct. 29 for part of the trial in front of Justice Richard Schwarz, will be back before a judge on a yet-to-be-specified date in January, court records show.

He was charged by Peel Regional Police with assault with a weapon on April 19, 2011.

Police allege Barber assaulted the bylaw officer using his digital camera after the officer arrived at his Exbury Cres. home to inspect the residence over property standards complaints.

The officer suffered minor cuts.

Barber was in court in the summer of 2012 with his father, Harvey Barber, who pleaded not guilty to violating a property standards order to clean up his property.

Neighbours complained about a large amount of garbage and recycling piled on the Barbers' lawn and driveway.

A bylaw officer charged Harvey Barber after he failed to meet the deadline to clean up the property.

Harvey Barber was found guilty last December of violating a property standards order and told to pay a $1,000 fine.

Neighbours say the property is much cleaner now.

News coverage

Your coverage of the Court case against me is deeply offensive due to its total lack professional standards and ethics that the public expects from a media source, especially a local newspaper.

Little better can be expected from Louie Rosella, given his past and willingness to use the Mississauga News as the soap box to grind his personal issues axe from BUT those who oversee his work (not counting your most senior Editor - Hazel McCallion), should have required from him a story that was up to the professional standards that are expected in Canada today.  Clearly, the way he was let off the hook last time with his misreporting (Spectacular crash was suicide attempt, Nov., 10, 2011), is the reason he is taking his bias reporting to new heights.

I was promised a letter from Gerry Timbers by the Publisher or General Manager of the day regarding this - of course that didn't happen.  No wonder he thinks he is free to commit the lie of omission and general miss lead Mississaugans and whoever finds the "Missing News" on the Internet.

First of all, Louie Rosella made no effort to contact me or my lawyer about what the facts are.  As a result of this and generally the way the ?Missing News? does business, I will not respond to any questions from your rag unless they are in writing.

Secondly, Louie Rosella claims to be referring to "court records" for his story and if he had full access to "court records" then his story would be how Mississauga City-law's inspector's  story has passing acquaintance with the truth given the facts recorded by my video - that I was the only one involved in trying to collect and present the facts to the Court - that the Peel police freely admit arresting me solely on City staff's say so, no fair, unbias or "whole-some" investigation - that the Peel police admit evidence was destroyed/lost in their possession - that no effort to review recorded facts was made before charging me - that the Peel police officers involved had to be ordered to review the video of events as I demanded it should be - that City By-law was an ex-cop and still an officer of some kind and there in lays a clear danger to Mississaugans - that the Peel police were shown their own directives on how to do an investigation and asked if they were followed (which is the job they are paid very well indeed to do), and the answer was no, no and NO!

Do I need to explain how much of a criminal fraternity Peel police has become or that Mississauga City staff can't be trusted to deal justly with my family - do you not read your own paper?  Any reasonable person would see both the Peel police and Mississauga City staff have little to no credibility in many cases.
Why then would the Mississauga News report such a one sided article given the known history of the accusers against a known victim of their unjust actions?
Or does your own editors put no stock in "news" being reported?

Further more, the idea of a person being attacked with a camera is more a test to see how stupid a person has to be, to believe this.  In fact, he offered me his business card and when I reached for it, I was attacked - suckered.

The article fails to note a history of false changes being laid against me by City staff, not properly investigated by Peel police and which were withdrawn, often because a video exposes the falsehoods used against me.  Or in the past and covered by the "Missing News" in 2006 City By-law tired to come after me for a Property Standards complaint as I was running for the office of Mayor and your reporters (not Louie Rosella), showed how groundless the claim was.

The list of how wrong this reporting is longer then noted here - I expect you to retract his story as being so incomplete as to mislead readers and grossly unfair to me and all those who have aided causes I have been involved in.

Donald Barber.
