City of Mississauga; 2000 ********* FOI 2000-00089 (Mark Feyz) There is a list of e-mail address that you can send to many MPP's and the media. Many servers don't let you send more then 20 or so e-mails of the same e-mail at one time, so you are like to have to breack up the list. I have put spaces at 25 and where the medai starts. His e-mail address is the second one and the last one. FIRST ON INTERNET: http://free.freespeech.org/iph Internet Public Hearing discloses the records showing questionable ethics in our city government. It also uncovers first-time findings about ethics and the mechanism of enforcing Freedom of Information Laws in Ontario: Are you concerned about the irresponsibility in government Internet Public Hearing is the first public hearing forum on the Internet that has disclosed the records showing government's irresponsible position that "no wrongdoing has occurred in the unwarranted diversion of public services for private use!" Requests for details that must exist to support this government's position have been denied. Internet Public Hearing has also uncovered serious systemic obstacles in the mechanism of impartial and judicial rulings by the IPC. As an individual, businessperson, or entrepreneur you have a vested interest in freedom of information laws that give you certain rights to access government held information on your person, business, or neighborhood. We are now living in an information society with the need to seek information from various levels of government that are essential to our survival, safety, and welfare in our communities. On the surface, an open-government has been established through a decade of federal, provincial, and municipal freedom of information laws. However, many requests for information by people are often denied without any apparent or valid reason as in the city of Mississauga. Of course, each denial may be appealed to the Freedom of Information and Privacy Commissioners (IPCs) in hope of IMPARTIAL JUDICIAL rulings. But, as we have seen, there are no impartial judicial rulings. Your support in emailing the following message to the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, MPPs, and the media will help to address the irresponsibility in government and the continuing lack of enforcing the freedom of information laws by the IPC. MESSAGE: The severe inadequacies uncovered by the Internet Public Hearing in the mechanism of enforcing the freedom of information laws, and about the irresponsibility in government require your urgent attention. Please, support an efficient and effective open-government. To: <dwight_duncan-mpp@ontla.ola.org>, <tor_news@sunpub.com>, Home page - Main Table of Contents - Back up a page - Back to Top |
