             Official Plan Amendment and Rezoning Applications under file OZ
             02/023 W1  Ontario Municipal Board Appeal

Dear Resident:

Please be advised that the applications for official plan amendment and rezoning of the subject properties from "R4 and RM1" to "R5-Special Section and RM5- Special Section" to permit five freehold dwellings and 30 row dwellings in a standard condominium development have been appealed to the Ontario Municipal Board. The hearing date is scheduled to proceed the week of December 8, 2003, with an evening session to be set aside for residents to come forward at the Board as well.

Also please be advised that a new owner, Moldenhauer Developments, has purchased the subject lands and has modified its appeal to the Ontario Municipal Board in order to permit a second storey with 3 bedrooms to all the row dwelling (town house) units. A site plan application under file SP 03/383 WI has also been recently submitted, providing more detail on the nature of the application.

Further, please be advised that the municipality has opposed this application and appeal as it relates to the second floor. However, in order to provide both the community and the applicant with a better understanding of each others concerns, a community meeting will be held on Thursday November 20th, at 7:00 p.m. at the Mississauga Senior's Centre, Olga Tyne Auditorium, 1389 Cawthra Road.
