Mississauga News - Dec. 18, 2009 - Letter by  Michael J. Hare, Mississauga

We need maturity

Dear Editor:

This is my first letter to the editor of The Mississauga News and it relates to the continuing childish behaviour of Carolyn Parrish.

Mississauga has had a marvelous record of achievement, mostly under the direction of the current mayor.

Mississauga is an established and important community with strong and mature leadership.  This is needed in the coming years.

However, it seems some politicians never grow up.  Such is the case concerning the recent actions of Ms. Parrish in a Mississauga restaurant.

I don’t want a future leader to be led by the “dare” system of governing.  Reasoned, mature and comprehensive analysis of issues that concern Mississauga should be the route for major decisions in the future.

In my opinion, Ms. Parrish has not demonstrated this trait.

I do not support the judicial inquiry on matters relating to the present mayor. S urely, in an economic downturn, there are more important matters for discussion and expenditure.

So Michael, where's your reasoned, mature and comprehensive analysis?

Michael J. Hare is simply parroting decades of brainwashing: "Mississauga, model of excellence, best city in Canada, greatest Mayor the world has ever seen." Well, who wouldn't want that? So easy to succumb instead of making the slightest effort to determine whether there is even a shred of truth in the propaganda. The last thing these people want is anything that upsets their comfortable illusionary world, even when it is the truth. Mr. Hare writes that "Mississauga has had a marvelous record of achievement, mostly under the direction of the current mayor." This is an unsupported assertion. Probably he thinks it would be easy to prove, but it's so obvious that he doesn't have to. I'd love to see him try. Why doesn't he present FACTS? Supporters of the inquiry present facts, but opponents present opinions and slogans. Coincidence? I think not.

Mr. Hare, that's a criminal mind...!!

Mr.Hare does not support the inquiry on the (alleged) criminal activities at the City Hall. Ofcourse not.

I'd hit "Offensive" before the MYTHissaugans but MissyNews won't let you do that.

**sigh** I wonder when the tradtional media will come to the rescue and actually research MYTHissauga. The Globe came pretty close today. So maybe there's hope.

Is this the same Michael J. Hare as this Michael J. Hare?

From The Googles: "The Michael J. Hare Award Awarded on the recommendation of the Faculty in Economics to a UTM student who has completed ECO 100Y with high standing." Nothin' else on this dude. Love his "In my opinion, Ms. Parrish has not demonstrated this trait." Buddy hasn't demonstrated he knows anything about MYTHissauga either. Just *squawwwk* parroting the party line. By the way, I've seen enough of UTM now to conclude it's just an appendage of the City of MYTHissauga and you can't trust what "studies" come out of it. Especially with a dude like that servin' up "awards".

They all read the same, don't they DeValera?

All reading from the same page of "Empire of Illusion". Squawk "marvelous record of achievement" (even if we invented most of it ourselves), squawk "established and important community with strong and mature leadership" (even if it's backed up with a quasi-fascist security force) etc etc. But here's the true obscenity. This JERK-*** writing, "Reasoned, mature and comprehensive analysis". HAHAHAHAHAHA! As if the City of Mississauga actually EVALUATES anything, let alone analyses! Like that sentence alone proves this brite-lite clueless. Or lying.

is daily drivel your plan? Got off the Kool Aid.

Come on anti Parrish foes - find a real cause or a more inventive course of actions - taking turns repeating the same stuff? It is all as lame as the recent "spam a councillor" campaign the threathening developer was backing. {Can't name him for fear of reprisal. Mr. Hare - that you would advertise that this cause is what propelled you to write your first Letter to the Editor suggests you have little perspective and no clout in your community. Grab some facts, get some perspective and sniff the real world, you've drunk too much of the Kool Aid.
