Mississauga News - Dec. 3, 2009 - Letter by Donald Barber On the same page Dear Editor:The City of Mississauga is awash in moral and ethical problems that are eroding public confidence. Mississauga Council plans to set up a committee to draft a code of conduct. Before hiring a integrity commissioner, it is time to get Canadian politicians on the same page when it comes to upholding a moral and ethical standard we can have faith in, as an example to all citizens young and old alike. Maybe it’s time to call in the hometown boy, Mississauga South MP Paul Szabo, who chairs the Commons standing committee on access to information, privacy and ethics. Let’s get all our politicians on the same page. Otherwise it will be different rules for different levels of government. How does that make sense to taxpayers?
City of Mississauga RE: Paul Szabo to the Rescue! Nov. 30, 2009 The City of Mississauga is a wash with moral and ethical problems that are resulting in corruption of our government and erosion of public confidence. The source is not just events in last year or two. As Mississauga Council is going to set up a committee to daft a code of conduct (like these so-call mature adults need to be reminded what they claimed to know when asking for our votes), before hiring a Integrity Commissioner. It is time to get Canadian politicians all on page when it comes to up-holding a moral & ethical standard we can all have faith in, an example for all citizens, young and old alike Time to call in the home town boy, Paul Szabo M.P., Chair of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics. “This is commonly referred to as the Ethics Committee because much of its work relates to keeping the Government accountable.” Lets get our best on this committee and have the same rules for all levels of government. YES - get all our politicians on the same page, otherwise it will be different rules for different levels of government and how does that make sense to taxpayers? The Integraty Commissioner is brought in to resolve the token retaliation of "defamation of character tactics" and outside threats after McCallions judicial probe may be a white wash for "improper recording of minutes". This home town boy was living in the same place we lost the Avro and McDonnell Douglas before Mythissauga relied on import mayors from Gaspe Quebec Disagree 1 Stephen Wahl Dec 3, 2009 9:42 PM Do not forget the School Boards.
