Cut off the cash

Dear Editor:

The taxpayers of Mississauga really need to look at this (judicial) inquiry and see it for what it is.

Who is this individual who can be afforded $100,000 of our hard-earned money?  He has a right to representation and, if he is unable to finance his legal fees, then the court should appoint an affordable lawyer.

The (judicial inquiry) commissioner should not be (allowed) to recommend more taxpayer money be spent or how Peter McCallion should prepare for the inquiry. Is that a conflict of interest?

I hope we are not going to see another inquiry into this inquiry after five years.
