Mississauga News - Oct 6, 2009 - Letter by Cheryl Glassford No conflict Dear Editor:Re: “Councillors criticize Mayor,” Sept. 23 article Did you read this article before it went to print? You are talking about a project that did not go through. You are accusing Hazel about what she might have done if it had! The facts are that she did declare a conflict. Which I believe means that she would not have a vote if and when it went before Council. To me that is the end of this story, but no, it continues. She is accused of going to meetings. Is her personal time not her own? Does she not have the right to attend meetings about a project of that magnitude that involves her City? Why did Ward 6 Councillor Carolyn Parrish’s daughter get the photography contract for that famous Canada Day celebration we heard too much about? I’ve read nothing about that in my local paper. Carolyn should clean up her own house first. And shame on you Sue McFadden. This does not show the best side of your character.
