— July 8 2000, Sat. - by Richard Mackie Realty corporation chairman resigns The chairman of the controversial Ontario Realty Corp., Joe Mavrinac, has resigned for personal reasons, according to a representative of Management Board Chairman Chris Hodgson. Mr.Mavrinac, 76, is a former mayor of Kirkland Lake. His wife is seriously ill and he decided he wanted to spend more time with her and did not have the time to deal with the problems facing the ORC. Past dealings by the Crown agency are being investigated by the Ontario Provincial Police and forensic auditors.
