Peel
police
&
Their Hall of Shame;

Some people say I signed own death warrant by telling the truth about Peel police but if our troops in far away lands can risk their life fighting for Democracy and up hold our values, then so must all of us on the home front.  However - We must not given into the fear that is being used to try and rule/control us, for such things are the death of Democracy in the hearts and minds of its citizens, with its actual death soon there after.  This history teaches us.

Sadly there is so much to add to this web-page it will take a while to list all the dishonor that Canadian taxpayers have suffered at Peel police hands.

COMPLAINTS  & APPEALS
against Peel police,
as well as lists of news articles and related items.

Peel police's
grand failure in terms of competent investigation,
its humiliating loss of prestige in the eyes of the public
&
at great cost to taxpayers,
as well as, the personal cost to those who were jailed.
Why - I would say because of ego - vanity, to be seen as a play in the
WAR on TERRORISM.
But have ended up being played as suckers, it would appear, by a paid informant, whom the Crown has just "turned on".
Remember "curve ball" - the informant who helped justify the invasion of Iraq?
Remember the old saying - "You can't con an honest man"?
Well it is a good thing we have lawyers like Anser Farooq to off set Peel police's inadequacies.

Peel police Discipline Reports

For the first time ever the actual Peel police discipline reports that they submit to the Peel police Service Board (PpSB), are being posted on the Internet.  But as they came by way of a FOI or Freedom Of Information request they have been CENSORED - names whited and blacked out.  Mostly whited out as it is much harder to see all that has be removed - clever, yes?  Means that taxpayers can't see if same person is reoffending.   Also in an effort to cover-up Peel police misdeeds, the reports to the Peel police Service Board go from a summary that list the details to a chart that does not!  A chart that lists items in black lettering on black background from the boys in black.  It will be interesting to if that continues or was just to handle the record breaking number of Code of Conduct matters when these two community heroes were swarmed by
publicly drinking Peel police who felt they didn't need no stink'en badges to slap taxpayers around,
who were interfering with their fun & breaking the law.
Even with names blacked out they can be referred to news articles for the names and that will be done in the future.

The reports cover quarterly periods but can cover more than one and so far it appears some records are missing.
Some reports are that there are no reports - if that is so why, in some cases, are not even those presented?
The fact the cover letters from the Peel police has changing and often confusing wordings, doesn't help either.
Also, there is even a case, where a report {First Quarter - 2007}, says it can be placed on the "Public Agenda" meaning the names can be released to the public and still they are whited out by Frederick Biro - Executive Director, PpSB, who clearly states "I am responsible for this decision."  Interesting how this FOI request was first made to the Peel police and then it was forwarded to the PpSB.

Jacqueline Nassiah, was a victim of racial profiling by Peel police officer Richard Elkington, who responded to the call, discriminated against Nassiah by "assuming that the white security guard was telling the truth and that the black suspect was not, without properly looking at all the evidence, including a videotape of the alleged theft which exonerated her."   The Human Rights Tribunal ruled that she was a victim of racial profiling by a Peel Regional Police officer Richard Elkington and  awarded her $20,000 in damages after the court ruled in her favour. $20,000 that taxpayers are on the hook for!

Peel police Chief Mike Metcalf

{but what do they care - it is the taxpayers who pays for their conduct!}

With allegations of "extortion", "obstructing justice", "threatening", "malicious prosecution", "retaliation", "public mischief", "extortion", "breach of public duty", "misfeasance of public office", "attempting to prevent witnesses from testifying", "bribes or other corrupt means" and "covering up a potential criminal matter" - assault involving a Peel officer.
Includes a charge that in late 2004, Metcalf manipulated former Peel Police Chief Noel Catney,
"for purely careerist motives."

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!

In the matter of the attack on two community HEROES - Richard Cimposeau and Orlando Canizalez who video taped Peel (party) police - believed to be the largest ever in the province in terms of the number of officers charged.  They are now suing peel police for $12 million - taxpayers are on the hook for!

10 elected to be disciplined internally as they were given the choice of taking an early guilty plea, as opposed to going forward with the public hearing.  Their pay was docked after they admitted their guilt and public will not be provided with their names or how much pay they lost (between $989 and $2,300, depending on their rank) - how sweet it is to be a cop.  Compare the cost of hiring a lawyer to their pay being docked and yes a very double standard, indeed and yes, no criminal record for a criminal ACT!

The 14 named Peel police officers, of the 24 involved, including two sergeants, facing a total of 29 charges under the Police Services Act.  10 of these noted below have been ordered to work between four and seven days without pay.

Following is a list of the officers and the charges they face:

* Const. Matt Bertram is charged with discreditable conduct and neglect of duty.
- Pleaded Guilty work six days without pay.

* Const. Michael Bishop is charged with two counts discreditable conduct and neglect of duty.

-
Pleaded Guilty work six days without pay.
- This bad boys name has come up again (just over a year since the last time he was in trouble with the law), as facing 3 serious charges (that is for a so-called peace officer),
"charged with assault, being unlawfully in a dwelling house and breach of recognizance".  What is really interesting is that the Peel police would not charge him for his misdeeds but step out-side his circle of protection and his is charged - yes, as Hazel McCallion would say - interesting.    For more click here.

* Sgt. Peter Steringa is charged with discreditable conduct and neglect of duty.
-
Pleaded Guilty work seven days without pay.

* Const. Allan Villers is charged with discreditable conduct and neglect of duty.
- Pleaded Guilty work seven days without pay.

The slap on the wrist heard all across Peel - what a joke and shows how little the Peel police regard the law, civilians and their safety.

The party never ends for Peel police officers!

Peel Regional Police officer has been demoted for "unwanted sexual touching" involving a woman he was with while he and another officer were partying in Ottawa, both were off-duty when the incidents took place.

The other Peel officer has been docked pay for his role in the November 2005 get-together, according to a Police Services Board document.

Peel Csts. Mark Ho Sue and Peel Csts. Joseph Sirianni each pleaded guilty to discreditable conduct charges laid under the Police Services Act, according to a disciplinary report with the Peel police Services Board.

Peel police Csts. Mark Ho Sue was involved in inappropriate actions with drugs that evening, was demoted from a second-class to third-class constable for nine months and ordered to work four, eight-hour shifts without pay.

Peel Csts. Joseph Sirianni to work 32 hours without pay.

Lets frame an innocent man (he is black so that makes it alright), with possession of cocaine and beat him - question is where did the cocaine come from in the first place?  2005

Peel Cst. Sheldon Cook, a 14-year veteran of the force, was charged by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) on Nov. 18 after federal officers tracked a shipment of cocaine from Pearson International Airport to a home in Cambridge and discovered 15 kilograms of cocaine with a street value of more than $500,000.

Stalking seven or more Mississauga teenage (under the age of 16) girls;

Peel Regional Police officer Const. Roger Yeo, 36, is guilty of discredible conduct according to Peel Police lawyer Linda Bordeleau but do not know how this case ended up.  He has been suspended with pay pending the outcome of the case.

Peel police hiring posters.

Are they looking for a few good women with penis envy?

Yeah baby - show me your GUN!

Cst. William Yakimishyn, 57, a 33-year veteran with Peel Regional Police, was found guilty of discreditable conduct under the Police Services Act after leaving the scene of a parking lot accident he caused and lied about doing.  The main article.

This one really stinks, he is guilty as hell & admits it, he tried to lie his way out of it by all accounts which makes it even worse for someone who claims to be a police Officer, THEN he appeals his punishment and gets it hafted!  What an example to the youth he is, lets all be like him!  It is so bad the Mississauga "Missing" News prints an Editorial about it regarding the clear bias in our so-called just system.

It does leave me wondering why a man who has been so long with the Peel police is still just a constable?
