1).     "There is a coup going on, there is no question about it, Mr. Barber is
a member of it and I hope no member of Council are involved."
So spoken by Hazel McCallion, right in City Council.
Most people would say that sounds PARANOID!

If the Mayor of a real City, like Mel Lastmen, had said that, it would be
all over the front pages of all the newspapers but if Hazel says it,
hushed up by the media that created the Hazel McCallion myth.
            More here.

2).          "we will not be providing you with the information, that you are
requesting."States the Mayor of Mississauga, Hazel McCallion,
as she improperly shuts down the Freedom of Information Act, so
taxpayers could not become knowledgeable of the facts and
make fully informed decisions, during the 1994 election year.
Her staff keep this promise over the years to shut off the
FOI Act from even the Green Party.
                 More here.

3).           "And I have never given direction to the Freedom of Information
Clark, Clerk to do anything.   Never!  And will never.   And it is not
my place to do it.   And I want to make it clear "
At the City Council meeting (Apr. 11/01),  Hazel was heard to say
                     - "And I have never given direction to the Freedom of Information
Clark, Clerk to do anything.   Never!  And will never.   And it is not
my place to do it.   And I want to make it clear " and I noted to her
how wrong she was and that someone is lying.  At a meeting held
July 19, 1994 our dear old Mayor, how did she put it?  Oh yes,
lowered the boom on me and all Mississaugans who wanted to
know the facts abut what was happening with the Cawthra Bush.
As a result of the Mayor's actions, shutting down the Freedom of
Information Act, I ran for the office of Mayor in 1994.  In order to
make sure everyone knew what the facts were.  At no time during
the campaign, when the Mayor and I (sounds like the title of some
Hollywood B movie doesn't it?), faced off in debates, did not she
ever deny the basic facts.  That she did in fact shut down the
Freedom of Information Act.  In fact more details can be found
here as well as the kind of conduct she allows by City Staff.

4).         "Your are not getting an apology!"
Soon after the Mayor was yelled at to apology for her "native
costumes" remark, she just blurted out "Your are not getting an
apology!", as you can guess it didn't go over very well.  Then she
accuses those present of not wanting to hear the (her), truth
before returning to her City Hall tower office, guards all around.  A
classic scene from the fall of empires.
                 More here.

5).     "We don't have citizens vote on an issue,  I just want to
emphasize that ... especially when it comes to development"
Mayor, Hazel McCallion, proudly states, during the Cawthra Bush
Management Plan discussion.  Hazel likes to run City Hall like a
business and this a good example of her business priorities, "By the
way Don, we don't have citizens vote on an issue.  I just want to
emphasize that. ...  We go out and get their input, we listen very
carefully to them, we try to implement what they say and we don't
always do it, I can assure you, especially when it comes to
development.  ...  We may, we may take a straw vote at something
just to get an opinion but it really means nothing."  Hazel has indeed
made it clear, Mississaugan's opinions, "really means nothing."  We
should know our place in the Corporation of the City of Mississauga.
              More here.

6).         Down zoning
The Mayor notes that the City of Mississauga down zones property,
so just because a property has a high environmental rating and is
zoned for its protection today, it does not mean it will always be so.
                 See below #7.

7).        "pounded it into the ground"
The City would be the biggest developer of the Cawthra Bush,
turning this rare ecosystem and highly sensitive environment into a
recreation area and in the words of City staff "pounded it into the
ground".  By using people to remove both Cawthra's environmental
value and protection, the City can even consider sell off parts to
developers.  This is a standard method used by uncaring
governments, like ours, when the politicians get their election
money mostly from developers.  Also the City has zoned the area
around the Cawthra Bush for a population boom and people will be
looking to use the Cawthra Bush for their recreation area.
              More here.

8).         not visited the Cawthra Bush
This one statement by D. Lewis is the real killer. Yes this is the one
the City wants in order to disregard our whole save the
salamanders campaign. It is total wrong, false and misleading! Dr.
Bogart made it clear a number of times that he had not visited the
Cawthra Bush yet, and would not comment on it but that is not
                 what D. Lewis is saying.
              More here.

9).         "dodged a nuclear warhead"
Nando Iannicca, Councillor Ward 7, first he goes on about how
Mattamy is perhaps the finest builder in the country, then he says
by not going to the OMB we have "dodged a nuclear warhead".
Nando (the warhead) Iannicca goes on to note what a great  job
the local Councillor has done in shepherding this matter along.
                  More here.

10).        Mattamy is perhaps the finest builder in the country
                 More here.

11).           " I am insulted if anyone of my constituents thinks you can bribe
me for $400, it takes a lot, lot more."
So can our politicians be bought?  The above is from a expert,
                    Nando Iannicca, Ward 7.
                  More here.

12).        "I am one Councillor who has been anti-development.".
Pat Mullin, the Ward 2 Councillor, said "I am one Councillor who
has been anti-development.".  If that is so then why would a
developer think it was a wise business decision to give her money
for her election?  I wonder, is she telling the truth or maybe in
general, are developers under the impression that giving money,
would change her point of view?
                  More here.

13).           OMB will aprove it.
The Mayor of Mississauga tells us before the OMB has ruled
what the outcome will be - interesting.  How did she know?

14).           Hazel  Queen  of  Urban  Sprawl.
                    Right from Hazel McCallion's lips.

15).      The Mayor telling a the Ward 1 Councillor to SHUT UP!
That is right, the Mayor of Mississauga, right in City Council
chamber, while live on Rogers TV, for all intents and purposes,
tells an elected official trying to deal with an issue in her own Ward
                   to SHUT UP!
Don B. - Well hold it, if she wants to speak, I saw her interested.
                   Hazel M. - No - Don't answer Councillor Corbasson.
Don B. - AH, the single voice for Mississauga  (Mayor talking over
                   me)

16).            Apr. 26-06, In City Council
The Mayor - Does any one wish to address Council?

17).            June 7-06, City Council
The Mayor - Does any one wish to address Council, that is on the Agenda?

18).            June 21-06, City Council
The Mayor's Rant about how Public Question Period was not changed,
                    just doing things differently!

19).           Oct. 4-06, Hazel McCallion wishes she was in Russia!!
At the Founding meeting for the Lakeview Ratepayers Association,
the Mayor is quoted.  "I wish we were in Russia or some where,
where the Mayor or Council could make decisions and just say no to something and it is NO.
Hazel shows her true colours Nyet, Nyet Soviet!

20).           Oct. 4-06, Hazel Accepts power plant.
At the Founding meeting for the Lakeview Ratepayers Association,
the Mayor is quoted.  "Quit acceptable and I support it and I know
Carmen Corbasson and that is what our City Council decided.
WE WILL ACCEPT A Power Plant, based in the right location, under the right conditions."

21).          Oct. 4-06, Hazel Democracy is Weak.
At the Founding meeting for the Lakeview Ratepayers Association,
the Mayor is quoted.  "Democracy is the best system we know but it sure has it weaknesses."

22).        Nov. 12-06, Attacks you large!
A sample of the Hate-Filled Fanatical Feminists phone messages that
Hazel McCallion’s supporters leave, during the 2006 election
when I ran for Mayor of Mississauga.

23).    Nov. 13-06, Hazel lives another 4 years and you die!  You bustard!
A sample of the Hate-Filled Fanatical phone messages that
Hazel McCallion’s supporters leave, during the 2006 election
when I ran for Mayor of Mississauga.

24).    Oct. 2006,  Not running for office! - yes I am running for office!
Gordon Clarkson - When he was first called, his wife answered
and was very surprised to hear he was running for the Ward 1
Councillor's office - OPPS!  Then he called and left a couple messages to straighten it out.

25).    Mar. 14-07,
Stephane Dion personally promised.

to looking into the matter presented to him
                     - that the Charter Right of Canadian tax-payers are being destroyed in Ontario by government.

                    The full text is presented.

26).    July 28-07,    Clayton Ruby's Media interview outside of the Court room after Antonio Batista was convicted.
The recording is not the best but you can hear Clayton Ruby, one of Canada's top lawyers answer media (by The
Democratic Reporter, Toronto Star and the Mississauga News), questions regarding the conviction of Antonio Batista
for writing a poem to express his frustration about how Pat Satio, Councillor of Ward 9 of Mississauga for her not doing
her  job, responding to his letter about how the new homeowners were being asked to pay the taxes that the
developers should have to.  In the end they were given refunds so we know he was right.  Others in the community got
refunds too but only those who knew they were being taken to the cleaners.

This is a case is what they say - bad cases make for bad laws, for he made no direct or specific death threat in his
poem, which was not even sent to her, it is was the interruption made by Pat Satio that it was a death threat poem that
lead to his arrest and greatly expanded what a person can be arrested for on the whim of a Canadian politician!
More here.  Most intelligent, reasonable and unbias people who know the facts see that the arrest was to punish
Mr. Batista for his efforts regarding getting tax refunds for his community AND NOT any poem he had written.

A very important quote by Clayton Ruby - "In Toronto do you think this would ever get to Court?  No.  They (Peel), must
be awash in moneys, awash with money, swimming in money, because you would not rationalize it, to make it a priority
in most places.  Consider this, that serious crime that there is here of a violent nature that they can't seem to get on top
of, the idea of putting this amount of police resources, prosecution resources, and judicial time for this prosecution is
                    peculiar.
"

27).            Peter Tabuns M.P.P. (NDP), on Mar. 20, 2008, spoke to all interested groups and individuals in Mississauga about how
we can work collectively to stop McGuinty and the OMB from building the 3 or 4 Gas-fired Power Plants planned for
Mississauga.  At this meeting Roy Willis noted the 4 levels of government in Mississauga that had power over this
matter and got a good laugh.

28).            Hydro Pillaged - Councillor Carolyn Parrish - Dec. 10-08, City of Mississauga Council.  In regards to the facts sheet she
handed out to show how strange things were at Enersource and the City's minority business "partner Borealis", where
10% buy a lot of control - some say too much.

29).            The Enersource side-deal - Dec. 10-08, City of Mississauga Council.  City Councillors say they knew nothing about the
10% deal that gave so much power to Borealis, so up I go and ask who did the deal?  They fingered Dave O'Brien,
formally the City Manager of  Mississauga and now head of Toronto Hydro - interesting.

30).            Councillor Nando Iannicca  "can't steal from yourself" - Dec. 10-08, City of Mississauga Council.  Yes it is out of context
but doesn't everyone love to hear politicians come right out and say these kind of things?

31).            In-camera-1 - Dec. 10-08, City of Mississauga Council.  Hazel McCallion asked the City Solicitor for an opinion on if
Councillors could talk about what was said in-camera or secret meetings and technically they can but not recommend.
The real reason is why would the Mayor be suggesting to Councillor to spill all the beans at this point but she does not?

32).            In-camera-2 - Dec. 10-08, City of Mississauga Council.  Hazel McCallion asked the City Solicitor again for an opinion on if
Councillors could talk about what was said in-camera or secret meetings - AGAIN told by Mary Ellen Bench, City
Solicitor, for most part an honour system.  WHY does the Mayor go on to say that she "Implore { to beg earnestly or
desperately }" so the public will know the facts and yet she knows the same fact but will not practice what she
                  preaches?

33).          Councillor Pat Saito Batista Rant - Dec. 10-08, City of Mississauga Council.  Talk about a B{female dog}-witch rant!  Truth
be damned say what ever will publicly hurt & harm.

34).         Council not know - Councillor Carolyn Parrish - Dec. 10-08, City of Mississauga Council.  Long version with details, 25 to
30 changes after Council review and even in-camera these changes not disussed, as well as the City Manger was not
                present
!  SO one agreement Council approve and the finial one Council "DID NOT APPROVE"!  The messy side bar issue.
It was noted the Mayor didn't know but that is like saying the Pope  Pope is Catholic but doesn't do that praying thing,
sorry don't buy it.  Think of this as, not a making a total war on Council.

35).         Councillors never saw finial agreement - Councillor Carolyn Parrish - Dec. 10-08, City of Mississauga Council.
Short - over & over it was said Councillors said they knew nothing - nothing.

36).         Secrets feared - Councillor Carolyn Parrish - Dec. 10-08, City of Mississauga Council.  About the problem of talk to an
issue but not being able to give the detail to support your reasoning.  City even had a public meeting where most of the
time Councillors said they can't give out certain facts or figures - tough luck, trust us!

37).         Mayor and City Manger make deal - Mayor Hazel Hazel McCallion - Dec. 10-08, City of Mississauga Council.
Interesting - what I have been saying, these two work as a pair to do deals.

38).         We don't know what staff does - Mayor Hazel Hazel McCallion - Dec. 10-08, City of Mississauga Council.  That is right the
Mayor can't be expected to take responsible for things when they go wrong, she knew nothing - nothing.  Come on
Parrish get with the program that has kept Hazel in power for 30 years.

39).        Mayor Hazel Hazel McCallion important election announcement - Sept. 8-10, She talks for 30 minutes about putting her name in AGAIN

It is about the City being effectively currently in debt.

42).        Donald Barber asks his second question at Mayor Hazel Hazel McCallion important election announcement - Sept. 8-10.
Will the Mayor make a full disclosure of her business and corporate holding - past and present?   Forget that!

Some recordings from the election;

56).        On Sept., 24, the Ontario Liberals did a Phone Town Hall Meeting to their phone list most of it was caught on my answering machine
(tape ran out), sorry for the dead air at end.  What is really important is that the leader of the Party - Dalton McGuinty - was not heard to
say or other Ministries in Environment, Energy, Eastern Power - anyone who would be in a position to stop plant, that is was going to be
stopped!  It was just the candidates repeating what their positions were but this time with big names in the community - given the fact work
has started and 10's of millions are at stake and in an election don't taxpayer deserve a statement right from the Premier’s Office that the
Sherway Power Plant is dead and how much it is going to cost us?

57).        On Sept., 24, the Progressive Conservative Party did a Phone Town Hall Meeting to their phone list all of it was caught on my answering
machine and after the beeps, the recorded message that went out right afterwards. What was important in the recording was that
Tim Hudak, Leader of the Progressive Conservative, could be heard going on the record for canceling the Power plant.

58).        On Sept., 26 (Mon), the Progressive Conservative Party did another recorded phone add.

59).        On Sept., 29, the Ontario Liberals did another recorded phone add, this time Liberal candidate Charles Sousa ( Labour Minister ), & MPP for
