RE: An open letter regarding publishing submitted guest column - ASSAULT CHARGES.
Dear Sir: June 26, 2006
We have talked in the past about the Mississauga News printing a guest column in regards to the June 7, events that have changed the Democratic traditions of Mississauga to the worse. My version of events has been submitted to you in the ways you have suggested, however you have not got back to me or answered my phone messages. Please respond to me on this matter. It has been post on - The-Democratic-Reporter.com.
To further give reason why you should print the column consider the following. I would not say that you owned it to me to print it but would say you own it to the readers of the Mississauga News, because for years, have had the facts withheld from them about the miss-deeds by those sitting on Council. That this failure to report has resulted in many abuses against taxpayers over the years and is the main reason for what happened June 7th. Politicians who knew their actions would not be held up to media accountability are embolden to act with such recklessness as to set a trap for a community leader, for the purpose of banning a knowledgeable person from participating in government, in an election year and to prevent him from asking the hard questions to the dear old Mayor of Mississauga and her Council. I have served the community for many years with an impressive list of accomplishments, which goes unnoted by the media.
Also, using me to set legal precedence only because I am and groups are too poor to buy justice in the courts, is the lowest of the low, it destroys all of our Democracy as - bad cases make for bad law. So stop the Don B. is a loner who likes poking Council in the eye line and take a closer look yourself and consider running the stories the Mississauga (Missing) News should have years ago. The media's job is to be the watchdog over our politicians NOT their lap dog.
The following is a SHORT list of items the Mississauga (Missing), News failed to report:
* That in 1994 I ran for the office of Mayor because the Mayor (Hazel McCallion), shut down the Freedom of Information Act (FOI), so
the community would not get the proof that the City had miss-lead taxpayers about its plans to log and tree farm the City, in an election
year.

* That I created and lead 2 community groups and enjoyed strong support in the community for my efforts over the years, as well as
taught at local schools.
* That in order to keep the Mayor's promise and deny the community access to City records by the FOI requests, City staff invented a
case against me, that came to a head in a secret hearing with a secret report. The only way they could win was by cheating!
* This FOI ruling was so wrong and political, it said no one could make FOI requests that the City judged could be helping the Friends of
the Cawthra Bush. Frank De Jong the leader of the Green Party of Ontario, tried to make a FOI request on behalf of the community,
the City said no and it was up-held. Legalizing guilty by association against a legitimate political party.
* The City refused to recognize the Cawthra Ratepayers Association.
* I was banned from City property because I discovered the City destroying salamander habitat, called the Ministry of Nature Resources
and they stop the City - no good deed goes unpunished in Mississauga.
* Then there is how those who tried to create a union in City hall were getting attacked and thanks to the Peel police a key person lost
their job. The Peel police have been very handy for the Mayor and Councillors.
* How about the fact the Mayor sits in City Council and says there is a "coup" out to get her, that I am a part of it and she hopes no one
else on Council is a part of it - why is that not reported?
* For years I have made many huge sacrifices, been savagely bullied and lived in poverty in order to serve the Mississauga community.
Where is the list of the accomplishments that I have made for the community?
* That for the June 7th, addressing of Council, over $100 was spent to prepare briefs regarding a development that is proposing housing
significantly close to the end of an Airport runway and apparently contrary to Federal and Provincial policy & guidelines - "will not be
permitted". Where is coverage of core issue?
* That in the same election the Mayor was called a saint by the Mississauga News, it refused to print a correction for falsely saying I
was unemployed.
* The results of Councillor Eve Adams husband and other family member's criminal trial for stealing election signs.

* That the Mayor is being sued by Mantella for $20 Million for abuse of her powers and who will pay when she losses the case?
Taxpayers!
* That the Hazel McCallion is a developer.
* Why doesn't the Missing News step froward and state the facts as to "Public Question Period"? The Mayor is trying to
double talk / think her way out of the fact Council have changed the way they do business from the time of Ron Searle (77-78).
