Our politicians claim the Vandalism and Violence policy is to deal with sports violence but in fact you could not even have a hockey game under these fascist rules! The City claims this policy is for stopping sport's violence but you can't even have a hockey game now that it is illegal (Zero Tolerance), to use a threatening tone, rasing your voice is verbal assault, to deliberately throw articles, whatever can be interpreted as an attempt at intimidation or to goad others. This policy is the product of a scared little old lady who is lashing out in fear at those who disagree and can be used by bullies against anyone they want fined and/or banned from City property. The public has again proven it knows the true intent of government, to profit at our expense. My name is Donald Barber, I am running for the office of Mayor and very much against Hazel. That is because I have taken the time and spent the money to discover the truth about her worship. It appears, Mayor Hazel McCallion, who is 79 years old, maybe mentally unfit to hold office and her physical health is questionable. Recently she has been talking paranoid in City Council about a "coup", out to get her. In fact, if everyone, in Mississauga knew, what I know about Hazel, she would be run out of town but as she has a working relationship with the local media, to keep the facts hidden and the old fashion political method of using the big lie to hides her and her loyal supporters activities, we are kept in her long dark shadow. Parents are required to sign forms like criminals, is a true insult and in Canada you are innocence till proven guilty. By the way this policy applies to the public not the City staff. Can you feel safe sending your children to City parks knowing a few bullies can gang up on your child, lie and then you are forced to pay for an act of vandalism they didn't not commit or be banned from City property? Staff can use it as a weapon against the public, to be confrontational toward the public, as they do toward me. The City Manager has confirmed our worse fear, that City staff need only say they felt a little intimidated to refuse service. This policy will promote violence in our community and is an act of violence against our communities. Don't let Maja fool you into believing that writing in with your concerns, would be useful. The City didn't care to hear from you when it mattered and no politician that supported this should be returned to office.
