Mississauga News - Apr. 26, 1989 - by unknown - P2 City streets to get trees A contract to plant $815,000 worth of trees on city streets this spring and summer has been awarded to the low bidder, Ontario Landscaping of Keswick. City recreation and parks commissioner Ian Scott told councillors the figure represents 71 per cent of the total allocation of more than $1 million for trees in 1989. The majority of trees will be planted in new subdivisions. Council increased the budget earlier this year to allow more replacement trees to be planted in existing subdivisions and reduce the year-long backlog that had developed.
