Hazel McCallion's Horses Head in Bed A Window Display by Byron Osmond - May 6, 2006 ? What does it all mean?
This window display was put up some time around May 6, 2006, by a Port Credit Artist Byron Osmond. It has an interesting mixture of apology and warning (the smaller post-it notes, centre), to others. His works regarding Hazel McCallion have in the past stirred up quite a controversy and it appears this will do the same. Other related web-pages are here; Hazel McCallion Angel or Devil & Hazel McCallion's picture is offensive to the entire community
A suggestive horses head in a bed with Byron's business cards with a bloody sword by the bedside, under an apology as the Mayor appears to have little sense of humor. From a "Port Credit Story"? Is there going to be more about this sad tail? I hear he has been run out of business and soon out of town.
The bloody sword, a column of media money, a devils mask, many other hats to wear and a dogs butt - what role do they play? This window and Hazel's portrait are best viewed at night. Mr. Osmond does take a good picture of a "difficult" subject.
