Mississauga News - Oct. 11, 2003 Charges laid in sign thefts Peel Regional Police have charged the husband of a Ward 5 city council candidate and another man after several election signs were stolen Wednesday. Police responded to various streets in the ward Wednesday after a witness reported a vehicle fleeing the area where election signs belonging to candidates Rick Falco and Frank Perrotta had been removed. The witness provided police with a description of the vehicle, and two arrests were made hours later. Peter Adams, 39, the husband of Ward 5 hopeful Eve Adams, and Imre Horvath, 31, are each charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000. Police say extra patrols will be placed in Mississauga's largest ward because candidates claim hundreds of signs have been stolen over the last few days.
