Opening comments:  More at the end.

One question  - why does it not note the any comments by the Ward 5 Councillor where this is taking place in?  Why is Eve Adams silent on the record?

Apr. 12, 2006 Council Minutes    page - 5 -

(c)     Sheard Property - 7211 and 7233 Airport Road

Roy Willis, a Mississauga resident, appeared before Council with respect to the application for a draft plan of subdivision for eight detached dwelling lots on Airport Road. Mr. Willis inquired if the GTAA (Greater Toronto Airports Authority) had commented on the application as it is their position that no additional residential development be allowed within the 30-35 NEF noise contours. Mr. Willis pointed out that right across the street, an application went to the Ontario Municipal Board and the residential above the stores was disallowed.

Mr. Sajecki advised that the GTAA was circulated and objected to the original semi-detached development and the owner came back with single family dwellings. The GTAA did not object because there was no increase in residential development with the single family dwellings. [ 1 ]

Councillor Prentice, a member on the Airport Noise Consultative Committee, pointed out that the application across the street was objected to by the GTAA because it would increase residential development whereas the current application does not. [ 2 ]
