Mr. Don Barber 1614 Exbury Cres. Mississauga Ont. L5G 2P6 Dear Mr. Barber, I am writing this letter in opposition to the proposal to intensify the land around the Cawthra Bush. Natural areas provide peace of mind to the residents, and this reduces stress and associated health costs, as well as increases the general area quality both because cars are not driving in the natural place, and secondly, because of the advantages to air quality provided by the natural vegetation. Natural wetlands are also extremely important for preserving water quality in a region. These are all reasons that you have heard before. They are, indeed, good reasons though and I urge you to deliberate in favour of the environment in this case. Southern Ontario is becoming an environmental disaster with the proliferation of housing developments and the concurrent loss of green spaces. We should know what we are losing, and we should do our best to not incur the loss. Future generations count on us to make wise decisions. Please make a wise decision in this case. With regards, Erica N. (Peterborough)
