Attacked by Toronto police
Any ways, the young lady in the picture has been found and can confirm that the police claim of me trying to fight past the cops is false. MORE witnesses are needed! She came into Toronto that day on the GO train and while at Union station met a group of about 6 other youth, around 17 or 18, 3 male and 3 female who also were in town, by way of the GO train, likely from some other direction then from the west, to attend the protest. They joined up and walked north on Bay St. They had backpacks and yellow rain coats and I remember seeing them on the south side the street just before the cop grabs me.
It is very important that these or any other witnesses are found. My lawyer has just got test case funding for my case and as I am the last of those arrested Oct. 16 2001. This is the best chance to expose what the police were doing and stop it. My lawyer is going to file a Charter Application, meaning he will be arguing the matter in regards to our Charter rights. A ruling in this regard can stop the police from these unlawful pre-emptive searches.
SO PLEASE ASK AROUND FOR PEOPLE WHO COULD HAVE BEEN IN THAT AREA, AT THAT TIME, ESPECIALLY IF THEY TOOK THE GO TRAIN INTO TORONTO.
I very much want for this matter to go to court and hope the Crown will not throw out the case like a bunch of gutless cowards, like they did to Chris Morton.
