Opening Reception was Apr. 30, 2008 and fine time was had by all,
even if it was only a few feet from jail cells!

Well, the food has definitely improved - well attended - even if the seating was questionable.

The artist, Laurie Kallis and the subject, before the portrait that gets hung around.
It was delivered in a pizza box as well.

Just me and an on looker.

Well there has got to be a token glory to Mississauga something - this is called - Allegory of Good Government - for some reason.
Did an ironic related web-page before seeing this painting.

This painting (?) won the peoples vote - those presence voted for it (for some reason).
Sorry but I think someone invited their large family to this event.

This is not in the art show, it is hung in the Whitney Community Gallery by Kal Honey.
I like the very detailed way common place cardboard has been cut in every way possible to spell out the letters A-R-T.
Spend a while trying to see if any way was repeat {think there are 2 alike} and how many ways were used - gets you involved & thinking.
