Inquiry necessary

Dear Editor:

Mayor Hazel McCallion lost respect in my eyes when she pretended not to understand what conflict of interest is; however, I thought that an inquiry was not worth the cost.

Now, I am convinced the inquiry is a must to identify what this mayor is trying to hide. Kudos to the councillors who stood up for this matter of principle instead of giving in to a personality cult.

Do “The Friends of Hazel” understand that they are standing up for overlooking the wrongdoings of powerful and famous and thus are being friends of corruption?
